SPD will monitor and implement the Impact Orientation Reform, reinforcing development effectiveness and operational quality to ensure stronger results delivery across the project cycle, by undertaking the following activities:

  • 1.1Monitor and oversee IDB's shift toward a deeper, more consistent impact orientation by elevating development effectiveness, project risk management, operational quality, and results delivery in other departments.
  • 1.2Continue implementation of the new Development Effectiveness Policy Framework by embedding its principles in operational design and monitoring, and scaling development effectiveness practices across countries and sectors through support to the DE Network.
  • 1.3Strengthen the IDB Group's second line of defense, enhancing the quality of project design so operations are robust, evidence-based, aligned with institutional priorities, and maximize development impact.
